Freedom

Freedom is not the power to do what you want, but the power to do what you ought!

In my addictions, I felt like I had a life of power and authority; a life full of drugs, alcohol, money, and a false security of power. I never knew what true freedom was until I found the truth through Jesus Christ.

For all of those who are burdened with sin and guilt, there is freedom for you through Jesus Christ. True freedom comes from accepting Christ as your Savior. When He lives on the inside of your spirit then you are free to make the right choices.

I learned once I allowed the Lord to fully control my life, it was easier to say no to bulimia, drugs,and alcohol; even though the desire was still there the Lord gave me the strength to overcome. When I would feel defeated, God would bring the song "In Your Presence" by Jason Upton to my mind. This song would give me comfort in my torment.

"Father I'm returning
the things I used to do.
Cause somewhere on the journey
I think I lost hold of the truth.

But nothing really satisfies
like when You speak my name.
So tell me that You'll never leave
and everything will be okay."

As I would listen to this song, I felt the Lord comforting me and calming my soul. A personal encounter with the Lord would give me the strength to continue on. I learned from this situation, and others like it, that we find our strength in the presence of the Lord. The peace that the Holy Spirit brings is higher than any drug.

So - find peace in the ultimate healer and rest in Him.

Relax and Enjoy the Ride

In Matthew 6:28, Jesus said for us to consider the lilies of the field and how they grow. They neither toil nor spin, yet our heavenly Father clothes them. How much more precious are you to Him? Will He not take care of His own?

Of course He will... Our heavenly Father knows what we need before we even ask Him. If we seek the kingdom of God first, then all these things we ask of Him will be given to us.

Today if you are in a place of worry or stress; relax and let joy fill your heart. The peace of God will sweep over you. Trust in Him for He has you in mind. Be content with the things that you have for He has provided everything you need for your present happiness.

New Life

God is amazing!

He's turned my morning into dancing.
He made the lilies, just for me.
He breathed His life, His breath, into man.
One word from His mouth; can change everything.
Yet - he loves us.

He is more than enough for me...

He has filled my life with:
joy,
love,
peace,
wisdom,
knowledge,
praise,
and given me a dance.

To Him I owe everything.

Commitment

I got married last night!!! He is the most wonderful man in the world, He is my everything. He knows how to make me smile and knows everything about me. I am so blessed to have this man in my life. If it was'nt for Him I would'nt be here. He has love me through it all. His name is Jesus!!! I will stay true to Him because true love waits.

Resurrection

Today, I have been so blessed to celebrate this day with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who took the sins of the world on his shoulders and carried them to calvary's hill. Because of his death I can have life. Today my Savior lives!!! He overcame death, hell and the grave. Praise ye the Lord!!!
